How We Got Started

Lightly Salted was born from a moment of obedience—when God placed it on my heart to write Power of Prayer, a 10-day devotional rooted in journaling and personal reflection. What began as a single book turned into a journey of faith, learning, and purpose. Teaching myself how to write, design, and publish a devotional led to the creation of a business dedicated to helping others grow spiritually.

At Lightly Salted, our heart is to empower Christian women to deepen their prayer life, build confidence in their conversations with God, and strengthen their relationship with Him. We believe in the power of prayer, the importance of sharing our stories, and the truth that God is with us—through every high and every valley.

Through our devotionals, journals, and book projects, we aim to walk alongside you in faith—encouraging, equipping, and reminding you that you are never alone. Lightly Salted is more than a brand; it's a movement of faith, hope, and bold prayer.

In 2024, God placed a calling on my heart to turn my journaling into something more. What started as writing my first book, Power of Prayer, quickly became the foundation of something greater—Lightly Salted. Through learning to write, publish, and create, I followed God’s lead and built a space where faith, creativity, and prayer come together.

By trade, I am a nurse, and at heart, I’m a woman passionate about empowering other women in their relationship with God. My mission is to help women grow deeper in their faith, strengthen their prayer life, and feel confident in walking with Christ.

I’m also a proud wife and mom to two beautiful daughters. My family is my joy and biggest support as I walk out this calling God has given me.

Amy Leigh Hall is the creative heart behind the artwork at Lightly Salted. With years of experience in art journaling, painting, scrapbooking, and drawing, her work beautifully reflects her faith and spiritual journey. Amy shares her passion on her YouTube channel, where viewers can watch her create meaningful and spiritual pieces.

She’s also a devoted wife and mother of four beautiful children, and she faithfully serves on her church’s worship team. Amy’s love for family, faith, and creativity shines through everything she touches—bringing beauty, inspiration, and encouragement to others.
